Wednesday May 16th, 6:30 pm-8pm, at Atelier 6000,  (www.atelier6000.com) Bend, Oregon.  $5 to public. FREE to registered workshop students, includes reserved seating.  Light appetizers and beverages provided.

May 17-20 WORKSHOP: 

May 17-20, Thursday - Saturday 10am-5pm &
Sunday 10am-2pm at Atelier 6000 (www.atelier6000.com), Bend, Oregon.
No-host lunch from noon-1pm daily.  Coffee, tea, water and light snacks provided.

We're breaking out the presses!  Ink pressed into paper creates a matte surface that pastel loves! Using soy-based inks, students will learn to create monoprints on Rives BFK printmaking paper that will serve as inspiring grounds for painting on top of with both pastel sticks and pan pastels.  Approaches to drawing, layering, and revealing with pastel and mixed media will also be demonstrated.  This approach will give you a whole new dimension to the way you think about drawing...guaranteed!

Day 2: Monotypes as grounds for series
Day 3: Ways of drawing into Monoprints with pastel and dry media
Day 4: Ways of working with Monoprints, pastel and wet media
